It’s September already (where does the time go?) and with spring in the air, there is plenty happening and still to come this year at ACGR.
A key highlight includes the opening of registrations for our second ACGR National Meeting, scheduled to take place in Canberra on November 14 & 15. The program continues to take shape with a number of key speakers now confirmed (see below for further detail). A key objective for this meeting will be to help colleagues reconnect and strengthen their support networks amongst our peers. A maximum of three registrations are available for each Australian full member university and two delegates from associate and affiliate (international) member institutions. Places are limited so please ensure your nominated attendees are registered.
Other upcoming events include our annual Graduate Research Leadership Program (10:30am – 4pm AEST, 15 September), for which registrations are closing soon. A webinar on Researcher Integrity and Ethics in HDR will be held on 23 September, for which registrations will open shortly.
In other exciting news, the Executive Committee are pleased to announce the introduction of a new ACGR Excellence Award in 2023 to complement our existing suite. The ACGR Award for Excellence in Graduate Research Programs and Support will recognise outstanding service in the provision of a high-quality environment for graduate research students or staff through positive and engaging experiences. Nominations will be sought for this new award alongside the existing three categories in December 2022. Further details about the judging criteria for this new award are outlined in the item below.
Best regards,
