Professor Dan Bendrups

Dan Bendrups is Pro Vice-Chancellor Graduate and Global Research at La Trobe University. In this role, he oversees international research training partnerships, graduate research education and development, and the operations of the Graduate Research School.
His current research explores the transnational doctoral education experiences of graduate researchers and their supervisors, as well as other facets of doctoral education and supervision.
Dan has an academic background in music research, and was previously responsible for a program of work that illustrated the important role of music in sustaining the cultural practices and social wellbeing of the Rapanui people of Easter Island. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, awarded in recognition of his practice contributions to supervisor development.
