Professor Chris Abbiss

Professor Chris Abbiss is the Dean of Graduate Research and a Professor of Exercise Physiology and Edith Cowan University (ECU). In his role he is responsible for the planning, governance and delivery of ECUs Higher Degree by Research programs, which support research training and development of over 800 HDR candidates. From 2018 to 2021 he was Associate Dean of Research in the School of Medical and Health Sciences (ECU). His research focuses on applied human physiology and exercise performance and involves extensive collaboration with numerous state, national and international industry organisations.
