The Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR) is pleased to announce its new Executive Committee for the year 2025, bringing together distinguished graduate research leaders to guide the Council in its mission to enhance the quality of graduate research education.
Professor Louise Sharpe, University of Sydney, will continue as President, while the following (3) esteemed members are continuing on the Executive Committee:
- Professor Chris Abbiss from Edith Cowan University
- Professor Susan Kinnear, Central Queensland University
- Professor Justin Zobel from the University of Melbourne
In addition, the ACGR is delighted to confirm that the following three members will be joining the 2025 Executive Committee:
- Professor Lisa Fletcher, University of Tasmania
- Professor Jane Stadler, University of New England
- Dr Dan Bendrups, La Trobe University
Lastly, we extend our gratitude to the following three members leaving the Executive Committee:
- Professor Ann Evans from Australian National University
- Professor Wendy Wright from Federation University
- Professor Imelda Whelehan from the University of Western Australia
Special mention must go to Professor Whelehan, a past President of the ACGR for her unwavering commitment and dedication to the Council’s mission to expand and enhance the quality of graduate research education. Professor Whelehan is retiring and we wish her well.
