CSIRO’s Industry PhD is one of the three Industry PhD programs being delivered as part of the Australian Government’s support to grown university research commercialisation.
Through this program, candidates undertake research on a problem developed in collaboration with and jointly supervised by an industry partner, a university researcher, and a CSIRO researcher. As well as completing their PhD project, the candidate undertakes a three-month Industry Engagement component with their industry partner and receives training to support the development of their applied research skills. Each Industry PhD candidate receives a fully funded government scholarship, an industry funded top-up and project operating expenses.
Applications for the second round of the CSIRO Industry PhD program, involving approximately 40 new projects, are now open, closing in early May.
