It is clear that in order to bring their COVID impacted research projects to completion, many candidates have had to modify original research plans, perhaps reducing the scope of research, reducing the number of experiments or interviews, or switching methodology, sometimes in the middle of the work. Examiners themselves, may also be impacted by the consequences of COVID on their work and institution.
